Makos Competitive Team Requirements

8&Under – swimmer must be able to swim unassisted across the 25-meter length of the EM pool in under one minute.

9&Older – swimmer must be able to swim unassisted across the 50-meter length of the EM pool on front and back in less than 1 minutes 45 seconds.

All Makos swimmers are expected to participate in at least (2) practices per week and meets throughout the season. Practice time will focus on development of swim technique in all four basic strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Swimmers will compete in up to (3) individual events and up to (2) relay events per meet.
