Volunteers
Outside of our amazing coaching staff, the Makos are run 100% by volunteers. Active support by all parents is needed for a successful season. Home swim meets require close to 50 parent volunteers and away meets need at least 30. With your help we will have successful and smooth meets.
There are many different volunteer roles - we are confident you can find one to fit your availability.
Volunteer Registration (Job Sign Up) is available before each meet. Each competitive team member family is required to volunteer 8 credits during the course of the season. Mini Makos families are not required to complete volunteer hours.
Most roles requiring little or no training.
When registering your child for the Evergreen Meadows Makos you agree to fulfill the family volunteer requirements. These include:
- Signing up for and completing the necessary hours of volunteer work.
- Contacting our Team Rep, if replacements or emergencies arise.
- Checking in at the beginning of meets you are working, regardless of which half of the meet you are working.
Events requiring volunteer help include:
- Time Trials
- Home Meets - set up, running the meet, clean up
- Away Meets - running the meet
- Spirit Events - pep rallies, Fun Fridays, End of the Season party
If you do not fulfill your required volunteer hours you will be charged a fee of $50 at the end of the season. If there is a reason your family will not be able to complete the volunteer requirements please reach out to Brittany Zinck at [email protected].
